Blog #2 - Week 7

Welcome, dear reader, to the second installment of what could loosely be termed my 'weekly musings', though some might argue the term 'musings' is a grand overstatement for the haphazard collection of thoughts I present here. I initially set out to pen an erudite treatise on the societal implications of innovation – a subject I hold in high regard, believing it to be the panacea to the myriad malaises plaguing our modern world. Alas, this blog is intended to chronicle the day-to-day meanderings of my life, and so, the grand discourse on innovation must be shelved for another day.

Greetings to those intrepid souls who venture to read these words. The past week saw me rising with the sun, or thereabouts, around eight, to partake in physical exertions with my companion Anita. Our workouts progress splendidly, and I detect swift advancements in our physical prowess. We harbor ambitions of producing a series of moving pictures, a 'video' if you will, to elucidate these exercises for the benefit of future cohorts who may wish to join our ranks. Perhaps, in a fit of generosity, I might share this visual feast here. Or perhaps, I might indulge in sharing the philosophical musings that have accompanied my journey through the landscape of life in recent years.

In a turn of events that could only be described as serendipitous, I partook of a meat soup at Sjalfsbjörg, in the esteemed company of Guðni Th and Eliza. It is with no small amount of glee that I recount the tale of my expedition to Nepal, where Guðni played a role of considerable import, now immortalized on the digital shelves of Amazon.

Accompanied by my enchanting muse Ágústa, I had the pleasure of attending a performance by Viking in the grandiose setting of Harpa. His mastery over the piano was as bewitching as my companion, culminating in a concert experience that shall forever be etched in my memory as one of unparalleled magnificence.

The week was further adorned with two dining engagements with my British kin from Swanage, interspersed with numerous delightful ambulations with the hounds under the canopy of splendid weather.

I ventured into the realms of art, witnessing performances of commendable caliber, and engaged in discussions with Ayis, the curator, regarding my exhibition on Nepal, which, I am hopeful, will soon find a domicile. Eager am I to regale you with tales of this in due course. I also met with Rene in the harbor house, plotting an upcoming sojourn to Portugal, embracing the uncertainty with the stoic resilience characteristic of a true Icelander.

A week replete with marvels and intrigues. The gears of destiny continue to turn, ushering in a tapestry of adventures yet to unfold.

Till our paths cross again in the chronicles of next week, I bid you adieu!
